We were always on the search for a good chocolate chip cookie that was not only delicious, but that it wouldn't go flat. Lucky for me, my friend Stephanie shared the perfect cookie recipe. Lucky for you, she doesn't mind sharing it! These are some of the best chewy chocolate chip cookies you will ever have!

3/4 c vegetable shortening (Crisco)
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar

This is the same recipe on the Nestle Toll House with the exception of the Crisco. Nestle calls for 1 cup of butter instead. I never use Crisco, do you think it makes much difference?
ReplyDeleteYou are right Amber! I looked at the back of the chocolate chip bag and it is the same recipe except for the crisco. I actually had tried the Nestle Toll House recipe in the past, and the cookies always seemed too flat in my opinion. Maybe that's why when I tried these cookies it was like a new recipe to me. The crisco really did make a difference! Also, maybe just using 3/4 cup butter instead of the 1 cup like the original recipe calls might make a difference.
